NEW: Short-term Darkroom Workshops for Adults Begin May 16

These brand-new, short-term, and low-cost workshops for adults 18+ are designed to meet the demands of your busy schedule—perfect for those who want a taste of what the Armory has to offer without a huge investment of time or money.

With roots going back to 1947, the Armory is a national leader in arts education. We honor artistic voices of all ages, and we deliver authentic, artist-driven, creativity-based instruction. Experimenting with Light, Time & Motion: The Double Exposure Revisited


May 16 (week 1 only)

The first week focuses on how to make a successful double exposure using the chemistry and optics of the darkroom.

May 23 and 30 (weeks 2 and 3 only)

This continuation of the darkroom workshop introduces new ways to work with the photogram to arrive at a multidimensional magic.
