Hello world : )

My name is Bonnie-Blue and I am the Special Projects Intern at Armory Center for the Arts. I will be keeping you updated on various art events in the Los Angeles and Pasadena area. I'll also be writing about some of my own experiences as an artist.

I've been involved in the arts for roughly five years, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to dedicate myself to the arts completely. What I mean by this is, not only am I trying to become a successful painter, but I am also surrounding myself with successful people who support young artists like myself. I've come to realize how important it is to network with other people and to take time to experiment with different practices in order to find your own niche. I know that many of you have different types of interests, but by checking out these events that might seem a little out of your comfort zone you're definitely bound to learn something! You might even meet someone who could end up making a profound effect on your life, who knows!

So, onto this week's news...

FREE MEDIA CLASSES FOR TEENS
Free classes in street art, screen printing, and music recording just got started at artWORKS. Classes are free, and you can start attending any time you want. Winter/Spring session runs January through March. Spaces are limited so register today!

GOT MOBY?
Also, Moby (yep, Moby) is doing a live interview in Pasadena at the Los Angeles Music Academy on Wednesday January 15th. Should be pretty cool. RSVP required. There is limited seating for non-LAMA members by emailing [email protected]
