Moved: Cal Arts Graduate Student Exhibition

Co-organized with the California Institute of the Arts
California Institute of the Arts, one of the country's most innovative
and respected art school's, in conjunction with the Armory Center
for the Arts, present an exhibition of work by 37 recent graduates
of the CalArts M.F.A. program. A variety of media, including painting,
sculpture, photography, video, and installation, will be on view
in all four of the Armory's galleries.
The
work in the exhibition reflects current areas of exploration in
contemporary art, such as video installation, technology-based installation,
monumental photography and an increased interest on the part of
younger artists in painting.
The
show will include the work of Julia Alexander, Jodie Berry, Justin
Boyd, Elaine Bradford, Cresta Cavanaugh, Allison Corston, Ariel
Erestingcol, Lauren Hartman, Carla Herrera-Prats, Adrià Julià,
Anne Kay, Matt Lucero, Michael Mandiberg, Erlea Maneros, Kevin McCarty,
Tracy McCormick, Adele Mills, Jill Newman, Lara Newsom, Tyler Rowland,
Stephanie Sabo, Miriam Schuenke, Jennifer Schwarting, Mono Schwarz-Kogelnik,
Wanda Smans, Brian Stechschulte, Haruko Tanaka, Lesley Vance, Benjamin
White, Kelly White, Paul White, Dee Williams, Michael Underwood,
Adriana Yugovich. Their work will be displayed throughout the Armory
in the Gallery and Community Room, on the Mezzanine and Balcony.
