Patrick Percy and Maritta Tapananinen

Patrick Percy creates subtle, almost vaporous landscape drawings using a variety of traditional media. Maritta Tapanainen combines numerous black and white or delicately toned hand-drafted illustrations from textbooks in complex collages that are carefully nuanced in their compositions and illusionistic spaces. Even though their approaches to art are very different, Percy and Tapanainen are married and work in adjacent studio spaces. Jay Belloli, curator. On view in the Mezzanine Gallery
