Pierre
Picot: Drawings and Boats
At the Armory, 145 N. Raymond Ave., Old Pasadena
June 10 – August 13
Opening reception, Friday, June 9, 7–9 p.m.
Los Angeles artist Pierre Picot is well-known for his large-scale
paintings. Over the past several years, however, he has created
hundreds of intimate abstract ink drawings as part of a projected
series of 1,000. Also included in the exhibition will be a number
of Picot’s ink drawings and sculptures of angular boats, originally
inspired by a wooden toy boat made by a friend’s child.
