Tender Land at One Colorado
October 10 - January 30, 2005
Opening, Saturday, October 9, Noon-6 p.m.

As part of the Tender Land Festival, One Colorado presents installations by artists Tony Bellaver, Mark Brest van Kempen and Jessica Bronson (on view through October 31). One Colorado's tower is transformed by artist Mark Brest van Kempen into a biological filter for storm-drain runoff using living sculpture filters. Commissioned by the Pasadena Art Alliance, a video installation by Jessica Bronson investigates the representation and inevitable manipulation of nature by re-representing the rose, one of the most depicted and manipulated objects in nature.

On October 9th, 7 p.m., In commemoration of the Pasadena Art Alliance's fiftieth anniversary, curator Carole Ann Klonarides has selected Jessica Bronson's new video/sound installation five lobed and propagating, and there will be an opening reception at 7 p.m. Please note that the piece will be temporarily interrupted by a film at 8 p.m. and will resume at 9:30 p.m. The installation will be on view nightly from dusk until midnight through October 30.
