Learning from Our Past: Chinese Exclusion Act, 135 Years of History and its Impact on Immigration

Rick Eng is an officer of the national board of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (C.A.C.A.), the nation's oldest, continuous Asian American civil rights and advocacy organization established in 1895. Headquartered in San Francisco, there are 19 chapters (lodges) nationwide. Rick also is on the boards of the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California (CHSSC) and OCA-greater Los Angeles plus he previously served on the board of the El Pueblo Park Association for the El Pueblo de Los Angeles historical monument. A native of Los Angeles, he is an editor, writer and communications specialist who has worked in the high tech and entertainment industries and in the education and nonprofit sector.
