A newly installed rooftop solar-power system has reduced The Armory's kilowatt-hour consumption by nearly one-half in less than one year. In addition to saving money on utility bills, the state-of-the-art energy system functions as an educational tool to share with visitors to the Center. The installation was financed by a generous gift from Adelaide Hixon and by Pasadena Water & Power who helped the Armory receive a state energy rebate.
