ArtNight Pasadena Spring 2015
Enjoy a free evening of art, music and entertainment as Pasadena’s most prominent arts and cultural institutions swing open their doors. Last fall, 22,000 people experienced the excitement of ArtNight! Exhibits at the Armory include The Making of Personal Theory: Mysticism and Metaphysics in the Work of Sara Kathryn Arledge, Charles Irvin, and Jim Shaw; Joel Glassman: Humdrum Poetry; and Expanding on an expansive subject, Part 5: John Knuth, Desert Dispersion. Also, on view in the Community Room is Heart of LA: An Exhibition of Work by Skid Row Artists from the Lamp Arts Program.
As usual, some of LA County's favorite food trucks are coming to ArtNight. As part of the GiveBack Program Partners,10% of ArtNight sales from food vendors will be donated to future ArtNight event. Armory will host Heirloom LA.
An ArtNight MiniGrant program is funded by the Arts & Culture Commission to expand participation by Pasadena-based non-profit arts and culture organizations, arts organizations without venues, independent non-commercial galleries, ensembles and individual artists. The Chase Jackson Quintet will be performing at the Armory.
Free shuttles will loop throughout the evening with stops at each venue. Park at any one venue and ride to the others. Pasadena ARTS Route 10 runs along Colorado and Green St. until 8 PM.
