Summer Internships

Interns are vital members of our team!

Armory Center for the Arts is currently seeking two paid summer interns, made possible with support from the Getty Foundation as part of its 2021 Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. These internships are intended for outstanding students who are members of groups underrepresented in museums and visual arts organizations, including but not limited to individuals of African American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander descent. Intern candidates are not required to have demonstrated a previous commitment to the visual arts. Family members of Armory staff or board members are ineligible, as are past Armory Getty interns.

Additionally, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Be a currently enrolled undergraduate. Students must have completed at least one semester of college by June 2021.
  2. Reside or attend college in Los Angeles County.
  3. Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Paid Exhibition Intern

2021 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program

Armory Center for the Arts is seeking a Getty Marrow Undergraduate Intern for summer 2021 to support its exhibition program. Under the guidance of the Exhibition Program Production Manager and the Director of Exhibition Programs/Chief Curator, the Exhibition Intern will support the development, marketing, production, and documentation of public programs, including exhibitions and a bi-monthly series of online events at Armory Center for the Arts. Paid Communications and Media Production Intern

2020 Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program

Armory Center for the Arts is seeking a Communications and Media Production Intern for summer 2021. Under the guidance of the Armory Communications team, you will assist with day-to-day media production and PR tasks at Armory Center for the Arts — a contemporary arts center in Pasadena. The Armory produces contemporary art exhibitions and delivers vibrant art education programs to children, teens, adults, and families throughout the region. You will gain valuable, real-world experience working as a Communications Department team member at a mid-sized nonprofit arts organization. Applications are due by May 3, 2021.
