Paper Party!
-
For Adults & Teens (15+) – Students will explore various ways to make art objects with paper. During our time together, we will transform a paperback book into a sculpture using origami folding techniques, make our own envelopes that become a book form to contain letters or small objects, construct a paper house plant with wire, and combine paper with embroidery to create unique designs.

Queer Collage

For Adults & Teens (15+) – We will discuss how collage perverts the social, political, and cultural specificity of images, and how collage, as a practice, negotiates the public and the private. We will have conversations about how collage has been used by queer and feminist artists. These conversations will serve as the backdrop for students to explore their own collages.

For Ages 7 to 11 – Join us for a class where you will learn many different techniques for observational drawing. We will be working from different still lives and objects, starting with gesture and contour drawing, then moving into different types of shading, and then onto color!
