Register for Winter Art Classes

Ages 12-18

Learn to make the most of every page as an artist and storyteller. Both beginning and advanced students will study character design, story structure, storyboarding, page layout, panel transitions, the marriage of text and image, the history of comics and genre, and much more! Learn about the many ways to tell stories in your own style through image and text, while also learning about the history of comic book art by comic artists like Alison Bechdel, Tillie Walden, Art Spiegelman, Chris Ware, and Marjane Satrapi. Art materials are provided and are included in the price of the class.

Masks are required inside the Armory for all students and visitors. With few exceptions, students age 5 and up must show proof of full vaccination on the first day of class. Please read our onsite class safety protocols here.
