Lambda LitFest at the Armory: Intentional Intersectionality
This literary event features queer writers of color reading from their latest works. A post-reading panel discussion will focus on safe and inclusive spaces, publishing, and writers of color reading in straight and often traditionally white queer spaces to expand and build audiences. The discussion will also explore the importance of being an ally who understands that providing platforms for amplification are transformative experiences for writers, as well as for audiences. Writers and panelists include B.A. Williams, Catherine Chen, Evan Kleekamp, Reuben Hayslett, Roxana Preciado, Eugene Owens, and Xochitl-Julisa Bermejo.
Intentional Intersectionality is part of Lambda LitFest 2019, which takes place during the week of September 21-28, 2019, when over 1,500 people will come together in various venues around Los Angeles to celebrate LGBTQ+ writers and literature. This event is free and open to everyone, but RSVPs are required.
