Youth Prophecy: Futures Beyond Wildfire with Altadena Library
Presented in partnership with the Altadena Library, this creative workshop for teens explores imagination, resilience, and collective possibility in the wake of wildfire disruption.
Through drawing, poetry, and collaborative zine-making, participants will reflect on cycles of loss and regrowth while envisioning futures rooted in thriving. Guided by Armory Teaching Artist Sergio Hernandez, teens will transform their ideas into printed works that circulate within the community and connect to themes from our current exhibition Material Prophecies: Craft as Divination, which all participants can tour at no cost.
All materials provided. Participants will receive copies of their work to take home. The event is free to attend. RSVPs are required.
Lead support for all Armory programs comes from the Perenchio Foundation. Exhibition public programs are supported, in part, by California Community Foundation.
